Hi there new to this forum would appreciate any assistance.
I have recently purchased a used opico air 8 tine harrow.
Issues with the consistency of the seed roller revolutions even with no seed in the box.
Have taken out the roller and cleaned ect and reassembled. When you turn the ground wheel the roller will not turn at a consistent ratio.
The cable seems to be turning fine in the drive assembly.
Took off the drive belt all looks in order and reassembled.
Could the issue be in the gearbox/drive mechanism that the cable goes in to at the hopper end.
Thanks in

Thanks for that .
Is there any maintenance /overhaul that can be done on this variable speed box have not taken it off so don't know if it can be taken apart.
Based here in South Island nz so access to these type of parts can be an issue asthese machines and not popular over here

Ours has been a bit irregular for as long as I can remember. Seems to move in jumps rather than one continuous motion. It did get a new gearbox at one time and, as above, it was a fortune.

One thing we did was drill and tap the end of the roller shaft then bolted a big washer to it and hammered the end over. That way you've got a little flag going round that will alert you if it packs up completely half way up the field.
