Opico drier

Does anyone run a drier off gas bottles? Just need to get it going this year as no bulk tank available and wondering if gas bottles will run the burner or does it have to be modified.

Don’t have a drier but know a bit about burners. if the burner has been used on mains gas you need to buy a lpg valve for it and fit that as the pressure is different.

It will run on bottles but you need the right manifold for 6 bottles, also runs on liquid so need the right bottles (not easy to get). Hope that helps.

Is there a conversion to diesel/kero for a gt/opico? Completely fed up with the one-sided relationship with lpg suppliers

Quick question opico gas drier runs of bulk tank but have a spare tank which was supplying a house previously and it is half fill of gas,now what is the difference between the two systems can I use the gas out of the household tank??

Drier will use liquid gas straight to machine, house supply will be vapour. Drier has a vaporizer inside

The tank needs to have a liquid off take, either from the bottom or a pipe dipping down from the top.

When I open the valve it is a gas coming out not liquid so not suitable then for drier. Next question is what can I use it for????????

as e3120 says normally the drier feed (liquid) comes from bottom (or pipe off top which goes to bottom of tank inside) gas will come out either way as the liquid expands when not under pressure and goes back to gas!

I have a manifold to run a Opico drier from 6 gas bottles for sale if you want one . We also have a 2 ton tank with a liquid take off available

So being a domestic tank I assume it is unlikely to be a bottom feed the tap is certainly on top of tank as is the tank I use but assume it has a pipe to bottom

we used to run opico on bottles you have to run them off a gas tree of 6 inlet then 1 out let or the gas freezes on a single bottle Also use black top bottles not just ordinary cooker bottles no mods needed to burner, think we used Calor

Don't go near mains gas, for US market only.
47kg bottles if you must, very expensive. Need to be LTO, Liquid Take Off versions, as said via a manifold. The burner vapourises the gas.
