Opinions on John Deere 6195M series.

Looking to swap our JD 6920s in. Not looking for much more hp or spec than what we have. Just something simple reliable and user friendly. Really have no intention of considering an R series so realistically we would look for a low houred 30 series or an M series.
Operator opinions would be gratefully appreciated Thanks

The M series are great. We have 6110, 6175 and 6195M. Really a nice tractor to be in and its simple and user friendly. All that you need. Pulls like a train and if you get it with suspension its a nice ride.

I have a 6195m from 2019 with command quad. A disc broke 6 month ago in a powershift gear clutch if i understood it correct. I was told the gearbox is the tried and testet powerquad with automatic group gear changes, so a real reliable box. But this is apprently a known fault, because they changed the gears a bit. In may, mine was the 4th one this year on the dealer location i use with this exact problem. I was told i should pay 25% of the total amount, but that still ended up at £2500.
Other than that, it has been a reliable easy-to-drive tractor that i like, except for the cramped space in the cab. But if you are used to deeres 6020 series, i’m told it’s the same cab.

Bean counters been at it again.

Can‘t believe these big companies, you can’t hide now.

Forums now deliver info like this to me as a potential customer, now not a potential customer.

The head gasket thing last time we bought a new tractor meant I didn‘t even consider JD as an option even though the dealer is 6 miles away. The M’s would have suited us.

Do you find it has good spread of gears for field work ?

For a box with only 4 powershift gears it’s doing well for my needs. I would like the last gear i B group to be a little faster, but other than that i think it’s fine. It’s worse that we have to go trough almost all the gears, when we are accelerating on the road. The new ones can do group changes with a double push, but 2019 and older can’t.
