Big valmet engine. Heard of a few needing engine work but it was possibly to do with oil pump drive coming loose. Not sure how the gearbox really like the sisu engine as it is a different animal to a perkins. The earlier 3600 series that had it had gearbox trouble but I think mf made some changes. Not many about but wasn't mf finest hour.

Engine is faultless, Bosch fuel pump and it easy to give a 70-100 extra hp.

Gearbox is an explosion just waiting to happen!
Thank you for replying. Greatly appreciate it. Wjat is the main problem with the older dynashift gearbox. Is the manual forward and reverse version fine or is the electric F/R wirse. Thanks.

Syncromess in forward / reverse will give trouble. And shift between high and low range is also a weak point.

The dynashif never gave any trouble on the 8110 and 8150 I had in the past.

Thanks for that. But in general, they wouldn't be too expensive to fix would they, and besides they are still a good tractor other than that aren't they. I am looking for that 7 4 litre valmet for more power and poke.
