I have used Solantel early December, then towards late January and then 1st week on March. Been very disappointed in this product, and shall not be using it again.

Yes supposed to be.
When I have used it, it pours like PVA glue, so it needs to be placed in hot water to get it to flow through the gun. This has got me thinking is actually fully mixed, when come to dosing time.

We've used it a lot. As with all wormers and flukicides they need a good shake before use. Never had a problem with it here, maybe you had a dodgy batch? Or was it particularly cold when you used it?

Sorry I'm a bit late on this subject!
Like you we used Solantel on the 21st December 2016 and found it very ineffective! On the 12th January 2017 we took sheep for post-mortem and the results showed the sheep to still be suffering from a large burden of liver fluke. Our Vet and the Vets form Aberwysteryth university both condemned the product for lack of efficacy! Since drenching with the product we lost 150 sheep! We are now in a legal battle with Norbroock for compensation. I would be very interested in hearing if anyone else has experienced the same problems!

Possible resistance problem to the active ingredient? I used it in March for the first time and didn't experience any of the problems described with lumpiness etc.

Not heard of any reports to resistance to Closantel. Most cases that are rigorously investigated are shown to be problems with under dosing, ie not calibrating dosing equipment prior to use and re checking after 150 doses or not weighing animals to assess accurate dosing. I hope you get your case sorted as we don't need more ineffective drugs on the market and especially flukicides. Good luck with it.

In my humble opinion it is the way the product was/is presented it just didn't/doesn't seem to mix, therefore causing the problem. Maybe was a bad batch but as I said at the start I certainly won't be using Solantel again.
