we are on s 12/36 ctf system with 250mm rows - we just nudge the AB line 125mm alternate years

Think we are looking at several fields of failed rape here in South Lincolnshire. Just to dry. Very poor establishment and in many case very variable across field. Ah well.

Thank you.Yes,my good old AD 303 combination.was the most perfect conditions I’ve ever drilled into.had weathered a treat for 14/15 weeks.probably needs some growth regulator to slow it down.chap shooting pigeons had already got 29 pigeons and 16 rooms before 9.30 am.

Slugs are devouring mine as soon as it emerges, only drilled with pellets last weekend. Gone on with more slug treats today but I fear a waste of money....

You early sown guys seem to have hit it right this year. My 3 week sown stuff seems to have a lot of flea beetle damage. Not been a problem up here before. Time will tell if it survives

Everything drilled before the one rain in August locally looks ace. Everything after IE in the last four weeks, looks poor.

My early drilled is looking fairly promising, though it can be hard to tell in places with all the buckwheat and vetch growing with it, as well as a plenty of other weeds as it didn't get any pre em herbicide. Unfortunately that probably means most vetch will get taken out by post em herbicides. Near trees though it is very obviously thin though. On closer inspection this weekend though there are more OSR plants only just emerging there so it may just have been lack of moisture where the tree roots were drinking it up, rather than just pest damage there. The bees are loving the buckwheat at the moment.
I have some a bit later drilled which is looking like it might be a 3/4 write off. As much due to lack of moisture as anything.
Just planted some more a few days ago. Hopefully it shouldn't suffer for a lack of moisture, it was tipping it down for a time while drilling. Its a testament to how dry the ground had got when the drill just carried on in the rain without any issue.
