Optimum to sow rape

8 August expansion after fallow.

Poultry muck 4 hours before drilling. First proper crop since the field was badly disturbed for ground source heat pipes. Bollards in crop are around the manifold chambers.

Annoying party balloons around over head cable, been there two months now

You early sown guys seem to have hit it right this year. My 3 week sown stuff seems to have a lot of flea beetle damage. Not been a problem up here before. Time will tell if it survives
Its amazing the difference a few days makes. I've forage rape sown on the Monday that's up and away. Other field sown Saturday same week is decimated by flea beetle.

Crops struggling here, but nothing failed yet.

Last drilled just coming into true leaf, so not out of the woods yet.

some sprayed twice so far for beetle, in the dark. Seems to work better.

In Spain all the records are being broken in the sowing of rapeseed. There are areas where seed distributors cannot serve their customers.
The good price and the rains in due time have triggered this madness.
Next spring, Europe will be yellow
