Drilled a couple of acres extra just after bank holiday. It’s only small but getting it’s first true leaves. It’s getting a little bit of damage from csfb, anyone got any thoughts if I gave it an application of pig slurry, would it scorch the leaves?

Honeslty barley, osr, no till and rain just don't work well at all.
The majority has worked very well, the tine drill into chopped barley is all near perfect.
I think why that field of stripped didn’t work was more to do with poor underlying soil health and it has needed mole draining for a few years. The crop came just not well enough and I don’t want to spend all winter nursing it. We miles, chicken mucked then shallow cultivated and broadcast a cover crop.

How much rain have you had this week?

14mm total in 10mm, 1mm & 3mm events, finished drilling at 7pm tonight and had started raining at 8pm, therefore didn't get it rolled, but the packer on the back of the Freeflow does a bit and I've taken the harrow tines off as well to aid consolidation.

Just a nice drop then without the crazy amounts about.

Just drilled 10 acres to repair a bald patch. Into sprayed off grass ley second time round. Dead grass kept the drill and tyres clean. A bit sticky and will be surprised if it comes to much but I like an experiment.
