Either direct drill or spread rake and roll . the fields for rape this year will have straw taken off on a straw for muck deal just to remove the farvoured habitat for mr slug.
Starter fert is going to be sprayed on at night before drilling to see what sort of job it also does on the the nighttime surface feeding slugs.

Will be raking stubbles asap after harvest, slug traps out to see what numbers there are. Possibly bait pre drilling and maybe rake again, drilling vigorous hybrids with DTS around 10th of August. Possibly spray with liquid fert post drilling and rolling but not sure it will be a 'hot' enough mix to do anything to slugs if only providing 30kg N/ha. Then hope for some nice warm rain! And potentially pellet again depending on feeding and trap numbers. Early for drilling hybrids but i want it growing away from slugs and flea beetle as fast as possible.

Straw off.
Roll.
DAP / MAP on.
Pellets on.
Leave it be.
Spray greenery off.
Drill 1st or 2nd week in September.
Roll, maybe twice.
Pellet.
Cross fingers.

The above relies on us getting the wheat cut and the straw off in the lovely sunny harvest we have ordered.

Been fabricating brackets and fitting a seeder to a new terrastar today.
Going to try it out sowing a few trial areas next week to see the results.
This is for a contractor friend who is hoping to to have options of sowing off the back of it for slug pellets, osr , cover crops , stubble turnips etc in east Dorset, I will post some pictures of trial areas when done and as they progress.

Direct drilling osr for a few years now and had decent crops

Been removing straw mostly though ahead of the 750a but plan using the converted co6 this time and chopping straw

Calcifet helps a lot especially if your chopping straw and using a disc drill

after 2ww and s barley all chopped straw so should be interesting
. drilled either side of subsoiler leg, 100l\ha 14.14.0 in the bands right at the back dribble bars ( I think this helps stops slugs a bit) then slug pellets at the same time.

Just bolting it together again for this year

Will DD into spring wheat stubble, straw chopped. May and June's been extremely dry and hot so spring crops seem to mature early.

I spread 5 kg Sluxx in the wheat a few days ago to keep populations down. Haven't done this before, any experience?

Rake right after combine.

Combidrill seed and 350 kg 17-5-10-3+Mg+B with disc drill. Probably a few more kg Sluxx with the small hopper at the back depending on how high pressure is.

Roll

Apply Centium+glyphosate

Depending on how late harvest comes we will apply a few tones of lime. Hopefully before drilling to tackle Two Simons effect. The field received "structure lime" last year.
