Do we need to be spraying for sclerotinia at all? Sclerotinia needs a 23 hour period of over 7c temperature, so I have read, not had that here for weeks. AHDB spore traps are showing nothing either.

Last AHDB spore data was 25th April (10 days ago) so will be interesting to see recent figures, granted soils temps are only just at/approaching levels where fruiting bodies start producing spores.

Min temps coming up next week and might hit some infection periods (If spores are about)...... you pays your money and you take your chances.....

If you have had it bad once, you don't ever want it again, particularly at £450t +. Its a battle and a half getting it to this stage...

Azoxy and Teb should cover Sclerotinia and lls, well that’s what I’m going through with anyway
although I can’t imagine Sclerotinia will be an issue this year, it’s been far too cold ??
Mines still a week away at least from mid flower on the best bits

Mine comes in at £10 - 11/ha
Happy enough with that, the crops v. Clean and only had some Teb in March so a pretty cheap spend of around £25/ha for the year on the best
Rape being £400/t still won’t warrant a big splash out on fung on some of mine if it’s stuffed full of Lavae 🙄

0.8 of Aviator didn’t look a bad spend this year ??

Boscalid is a one trick pony. It only does sclerotinia. Consider the alternatives if you want other diseases & greening effects.
Why do you say that. I know the information below is a couple of years old. Have diseases become resistant?

Botrytis, alternaria, verticillium
according to the info on the product it says it does? 'Filan® is a protectant and systemic flowering spray fungicide for use in oilseed rape that provides excellent control of sclerotinia, late light leaf spot infections, botrytis and Alternaria.'

There are many options for osr flowering fungicides.

according to the info on the product it says it does? 'Filan® is a protectant and systemic flowering spray fungicide for use in oilseed rape that provides excellent control of sclerotinia, late light leaf spot infections, botrytis and Alternaria.'

I'll have a look at independent trials data later to see if boscalid really is the best investment.

I’m now backtracking and have decided to put on some Aviator. We have got good pod set so decided the potential yield is worth protecting.

Iv just looked up prothio, azoxystrobin, and aviator and non do the diseases you mentioned. what would do the job to control them.

I owe you both an apology. Boscalid (Filan) is better than I had first thought. I did look up a few resources that agree with your views. Sorry.
