Whilst this is a blatant personal plug, I feel it’s time to put this on here as it is agricultural and very topical!
Having been personally very
close to some one who has suffered Breast Cancer, My wife and I have decided to put forward one of our pedigree Simmental heifers for auction at H&H Carlisle Simmental sale with the proceeds being donated straight to Breast Cancer Now. We are not only hoping to raise some money for a good cause but more importantly raise awareness of Breast Cancer and the importance of early diagnosis and simply checking yourself- both ladies and gents!!

If anyone on here can help us support what we are doing we would be very grateful either by donating or just simply Sharing our posts on social media! ( or come to the auction and get bidding!!)
The Simmental Society have set up a Just giving page for us too and the link is at the bottom of the press release here :

Thank you all

Good on you, hope the heifer raises a lot of money for a very good cause. Unfortunately I won’t be able to make the auction but I’ve just donated.
All the best.

Having lost our lovely sister in law, Sue, to breast cancer some time back, we know how you feel.

Best of luck with the auction. Unfortunately I doubt we will be able to bid even if we had space for her, because I think she will make huge money!
You don’t have to buy her , just stop bidding one bid before the auctioneer drops the hammer . 👍

She is lovely. I could start a rival herd to my friends at Wroxall!

I might be a long time at it though.

Lot 346 would be an ideal companion for her, donated by the Simmers family for auction at Dingwall this Saturday in aid of Highland Hospice and Maggie's Highland - two very good causes.

I think it’s fair to say we’ve had a very successful day - she showed well and stood third to a Corskie heifer and also an Islavale heifer that went on to be champion.

She then sold well through the Ring and made £3000 . We are both delighted at this result and combined the the overwhelming generosity on the Just giving page which has already hit its target ( some cash donations to be uploaded later) means we will have raised £5000 for Breast cancer Now .

I think it’s fair to say that my wife and I have done many pedigree sales before but none as emotional as this one.
The support from friends, family ,H&H auctioneers , the breed society and of course TFF members has been fantastic. Thank you all

This link should take you to the auction sale of her
