On again tonight.
Good luck to them this week with the glamping ,hope it works out..
Ah he had plenty washing machines out in the yard so turnaround be a doddleThe woman at the end taking pictures thought they could ask £200 a night, they will need to offer more to ask that.
We are in our 3rd season and it,s bloody hard work and public can be very demanding at times, more so when the sun is not shining and the wind is howling. I might be wrong but the farmer seemed like he needed a rocket strapped to his backside to get him moving a bit quicker. Wait till they have 3 or 4 to turn around on change over day, guests leave at 10 if your lucky and new guests arriving early before 4 in the afternoon. For £200 a night they will need to supply bed linen etc all of which needs cleaning and ironing.

There is good money to be made in glamping but as i all ready said it,s very hard work, you are correct about the plastic cover on that dome, it will soon look dirty, we invested in safari tents like the one that were featured in the program, lifespan is around 10 to 15 years on them depending on how they are looked after. I thought that dome seemed expensive when comparing to a safari tent that sleeps 6. Also the decking needs treatment nearly every year to keep it looking it,s best, none slip is best but expensive.Without sounding like a smart arse who knows it all (cause I don't!). I knows it makes the programme and I genuinely wish them well.
I think some of these glamping pods and shepherds huts etc have a fairly small lifespan. It's alright someone coming in taking some pictures and saying £200 a night, the reality might be quite different.
They are starting off with quite a lot of debt putting the money into a pod that will eventually deteriorate, the decking will get rotten and the canvas will look shabby / leak etc.
We put our spare cash into a couple of ex council houses in the local town. Decent well built houses, tenants pay the rent every month, not a huge amount to do on a day to day basis.
And the money is safe in bricks and morter (not in a rotting shepherds hut.!).
Each to their own.!
I was under the impression he was going to get 6 in total but it did seem money was running through their fingers fast.Could somebody tell me where £190,000 was spent? Or needed to be spent?
I too hope it works for them, but I really do not think they have a clue what is expected by thew sort of clientel they are looking for.Ok, well I suppose 6 would take some financing. But then I don’t think they got the loan approved did they?
Not trying to be negative, I really hope it works for them.
Stroud in Gloucestershire, bold fabrication. Good firm to deal with.Brought in from Poland as well.
Surely some one in this country makes them?
