Yes there is some rape used because there isn't enough wheat grown to cover all the carrots up here. We need 25,000 bales and there is another 4 growers that I can think of.

stupid question but i know nothing about growing carrots what do you do with the straw after just plough it back in?

Is that at Balnagowan ? I lifted the field there but am not really involved with incorporating , saw a white Bateman going about when I was through there but no Houseman

Aye. Not sure who the bateman is have seen it a few times and is stickered as agrii but there's quite a few ex agrii kicking about that haven't had the lettering removed.

We have been getting the straw down over the last few weeks, 4 machines going at it.

4 loaders on hire, they went well only 1 burst pipe and 1 fan belt tensioner between them. Lads put roughly 350 hrs on them.

I did all the orra loon jobs, moving bales, rolls of poly, fetching diesel and parts. New tractor went well, I rather like it but the gearbox is crap for a loader tractor. ( 10km max in reverse)
