A baptism of fire of our award wining 2 tonne batch/continuous baby dryer ! drying hemp seed at 28-30 % moisture down to 8%
with a drying temperature of only 47 Deg.C ,in this case we are
drying in batch mode because of the high moisture content whilst
being able to run off a 13A plug and being the world's smallest
batch/continuous dryer.

Why is it not on wheels?

Far easier transported loaded on to trailer rather than fix a drawbar and lights etc and we take it to Lamma and Highland shows

What sort of daily output does it have on say 5% moisture deduction?

Its rated at two tonnes a hour on continuous mode or can be fully automatic batch mode all depends on the condition and final moisture of grain it's designed for small acreage of crops and for farms that don't have 3 phase power supplies and can be shared
had 35 enquiries at last highland show but just got it finally finished this year for trial

Ok so whats the figures of how much it burns to bring barley down from say 20/22% to dry enough to store level? Also what price is it? If u cant say even ballpark figures then?

It rated at 2tph from 20 - 15% @ 85 deg C using roughly 7 litres per hour, low power consumption running of 13A plug cost would be around £35K as steel prices have doubled since this was built

That’s certainly impressive on the electrical and the fuel consumption. My old Almet, year 1960 uses 10kw of electrical power for the fans alone then there is the bed conveyor motor, augers, burner compressor etc. My fuel consumption is 9 litres gas oil (£4.86) per ton to go from 18 down to 15% at about 2.5 tph. It’s a very old dryer though.

Saw you loading it on the trailer when I was going to Sellars the other day.

We have a Opico type 9tonner and I think that baby continuous flow dryer would be as quick, possibly faster.
Good for 40-50 odd ton taking 5% out, cant see my batch dryer doing that in 24 hrs.
Plus I bloody hate mobile drying, dusty crap job.
Great job for a farm that has not got massive tonnages.
