Way over priced in this country, can't believe the price of them, plus underpowered with that 4 cylinder. Bet they've got a proper engine in them in NZ.....??

Landcruiser . . .

They havent had a 4 cylinder engine since maybe the 40 series in the early 80's

They've had about 3 different 6 cylinder diesels around 4 litres & the current engine is a 4.5 l v8 turbo diesel

3.0 4 cylinder 177bhp diesel over here is only diesel engine option. Think you can get a V6 petrol but never seen one. Can never understand why we get all the cooking engines.

Hilux ute ( in various guises, single cab, double cab, tray back, etc ) is the highest selling vehicle in Australia. Lots of dual cabs are basically bought as family cars
Hiluxes are very popular as work / farm vehicles although i personally have not owned one since about 1992

My harvesting contractor recently bought a new dual cab hilux to complement his aging Landcruisers

In his words " its only a commuter vehicle, to go back & forth from work, maybe as an escort vehicle or need to carry a few passengers. Its lovely to drive & good on fuel, but it's no work vehicle. They told me it had a 3.5 t towing capacity, but looking at the chassis & towbar I find that hard to believe. I wouldn't like to tow a fuel trailer, my air compressor or comb trailer behind it. I won't be getting rid of the Landcruisers . . ."

I don't know why we don't get petrol pick ups over here.they must be available elsewhere in the word.obviously more envoiremently friendly than diesel now and cheaper to buy and run

Make sure you don’t get stopped and weighed with a comb on a trailer behind a Ute. They will throw the book at ya. Big blitz on a things like that over this way this year
