Outdoor car storage

Does anyone have an idea of what to charge for car storage in the farm yard? I have someone who wants to keep some cars in the yard (he is in the car trade and already rents a unit off me). Sometimes there maybe only a couple during the week and other times it may be a few more. Do I charge him per car/per day and what sort of figure? I'm in Herts

Look at the charges for parking at Standsted airport , that should be a good start and make your enterprise worthwhile

We had similar once and used to do £10 per car per week at our old farm, mainly because they were parked on grass and access could be muddy, some weeks £20 some weeks £150, it's good and all adds up providing you get on well and it doesn't hinder your business. Many will say that's too cheap.

I would charge a set fee for say 10 spaces, used or not, otherwise you have a counting job everyday, and what about if it was there half a day.

pound per day and he logs the in and out in a place visible to you both. or a certain area of yard for so much per week irrespective of the number of vehicles

Thanks for replies, I'll try him for £10 per car per week and see where that gets me.
If I go for stansted airports rates that might get me £39 per day short stay!!

I used to charge £30 per week for a space for 10 cars whether used or not.
As soon as car 11 came on it was an extra £30.

I ended up with a regular £60 a week for some years.

We charge £500 month for a fenced in area on hard standin with gate
Can fit around 18 cars

I charged 1 guy that had an old vintage bedford pickup £200/month for being stored under cover, behind electric gate, he sucked air through his teeth.
