building a new cattle yard, looking for any suggestions on design and build ideas

Don't need a roof, current yard they can go in and out of the barn and they spend all the time outside.

Your cattle look well and are probably cleaner than mine that are in a shed. What are you asking for? you seem to have it sussed, crack on.

If that yard works for You, do the same. Your lucky enough to have better weather than us.

Yes, panels work well, you still need a shed for a bit of shelter on bad days, I've got a 60x45 barn to go up, going to have the same size outside with barriers down one side, look for ideas on layout really

Farmer not too far from me fattens a lot of cattle in those types of yards. When I asked him how he was keeping them dry this winter he said he just keeps putting the straw in...around 70-80 hesstons a day

Worked for abloke few years ago winterd cattle out side in a bedded pen I was amazed how well they did they kept pretty clean and he reckoned they did better when they were turned out into the field in spring

can't get my head round that big finisher down here dose them in outside paddocks on the sand dunes 0 bedding cost lucky bugger but they still get pritty shitty from what iv seen
