Over seeding

So hoping we are coming out of the wet miserable weather I’m contemplating what to do to repair some of the fields that have suffered over winter.

I know there is mixed opinion with over seeding fields but I was thinking of putting a grass, clover and herb oversees mix down. I’ve got a broadcast spreader and can get hold of a drill with harrows (I think).
boston seeds do various mixes of herbs and clover with grass. I try to just grass feed the lambs and couple of heifers that I’ve got.

the paddocks are probably still too wet at the minute but was thinking in 3 or 4 weeks things might improve.

harrow first, seed, then roll?

a problem for many fields, following this shitty winter, is both surface, and deeper panning, and before doing anything, check for those 1st. If you are in a 'hurry' to get at the grass to graze, why not use a cheap aggressive IRG this spring, and do a proper job in the autumn, over seeding has very mixed reports, and if not quite right, can be an expensive mistake.
