looking for a green manure cover to put between winter oats and spring barley. I have swede going round too so very conscious of club root build up so not willing to chance that. Is oats off the pile and some vetch a good idea?

Do you have any linseed? If you scratched the stubble around while planting the cover, some volunteers may come up which will be handy. Linseed, some vetch and volunteer oats would be good.

Don't have any linseed, its not grown up here really. I'm halfway up scotland. There soo many options. Do you think linseed would be worth trying, I'd hope to get it sown in mid August which from experience up here is as late as you want to be planting cover to get it to produce something
