Owen Paterson: I’m proud of standing up to the green lobby

I subscribed to Greenpeace email alerts when they were trying to hi-jack a drilling rig I was looking after. I received this from them today. Bunch of K_unts.

Hi Ian,
Yes! The government’s climate skeptic environment secretary, Owen Paterson has been sacked at last, after thousands of us put his incompetence in the spotlight.
Owen Paterson refused to accept climate change is happening because of the things humans do. He wouldn’t even meet with scientific advisors.
New Environment Secretary Liz Truss might do a better job. Can you send her a quick email to ask if she’ll meet with chief scientists in the next few weeks?

It’s Liz Truss’ first day in the new job after a government reshuffle. There will be loads of emails, letters, meetings and calls to deal with. We can make sure our concerns aren’t drowned out if she sees thousands of emails from us landing in her inbox today.
Will she turn out to be a climate denier like Owen Paterson? Or will she quickly announce she’s taking a better approach, and plans to meet with chief scientific advisors? It takes just 2 mins to send an email from the website. There’s a pre-written email you can edit if you like:

We can all give each other a big pat on the back today. We delivered more in 65,000 signatures to David Cameron asking for him to be sacked and hundreds of us chipped in for newspaper ads. Together, we helped show up Paterson for the bad choice he was.
From choosing wind over fracking, to speaking up for the Arctic, to cracking down on illegal rainforest timber - there’s lots our government could do.
Now Paterson is gone, we have a chance to step up our efforts to get this government to take climate change seriously ahead of the election in 10 months’ time.

Thanks,
Jamie and the Greenpeace team

I think most greens could be described as dangerous "educated" idiots. They only see their own narrow viewpoint and are not open to listen to other peoples views because they know they are right and will go to any lengths to make sure that their opinion is seen as the right way any contrary view is deviant by people thinking the wrong thoughts. They make the regime in North Korea look like liberals because they have all the answers and woe betide any person who thinks different.
They have succeeded in having a government minister removed, something that rogue elements of the Met were unable to do, he has been replaced with someone they think can be made pliable to their adgenda, it remains to be seen if this will happen, they definitely would not have wanted Teresa May as Environment secretary.
The extracts from greenpeace emails shown above are evidence how dangerous these terrorists are, that is what they are.

And we are asked to believe this man?

A Secretary of State just 3 years after becoming an MP? and facing the sharks of Defra, unNatural England, Env. agency and whole shed load more? You're having a laugh.:banghead:

can't really think of a more unholy trinity ...I don't think any of us realised quite how good a minister Paterson was to have taken that lot on and won ........ which makes his sacking all the more unforgiveable

Cameron has a history of sacking good ag ministers. Jim paice and Owen Patterson are definitely ag ministers.
I didn't agree with Owen on some things, particularly the subsidy issue and more so the balls up that is bps, but I think he had good intentions and a clear plan, which is very refreshing for our sector.

I've always thought it was ironic that greenpeace had green and peace in their name:sneaky:;).
