Very safe seat is North Shrops. I’ve only ever known Owen Paterson and John Biffen in my life time.
Very sad about his wife’s suicide which he said the ongoing investigation contributed too.

While his wife committing suicide is very sad if he hadn't done what he was accused of there would have been no investigation to put her under strain, why cant people just admit guilt thesedays

Not restricted to westminster, it seems the world is over run with greed and dishonesty not just politicians
Well George Useless turned up on the news to explain how water companies couldn’t be forced to stop pumping huge quantities of raw sewage into rivers. Who is more culpable the greedy foreign owned utilities? Or the greedy toadying Tory apology for a cabinet minister? For me it’s the politician.

They've been pumping sewage in for far longer than the time they have been private companies . It shouldn't be allowed but the infrastructure cant cope during heavy rainfall, it's not the storm release that annoys me it's the everyday release of "clean" water into rivers that push up nitrate levels for which we get blamed for

They have been private for over 30 years. Over that time they have paid billions in dividends yet investment is lamentable. A private monopoly that isn’t working or accountable. Do you think the crooked political system should allow this situation to continue for another 30 years? No wonder Paterson feels hard done by, his misdeeds are small change compared to that swindle.

Says it all:-
"Scottish Water, which is publicly owned, has invested nearly 35% more per household in infrastructure since 2002 than the privatised English water companies, according to the analysis. It charges users 14% less and does not pay dividends". The Guardian.

It should be recognised that the government is complicit in this by building millions of extra houses that sewage works cannot cope with, these mainly Tory governments seem to believe they can stuff this island with ever more people & houses with no effect at all on the utilities that have to cope with it all.
