Oxford mig welder digital meter?

Looking at mig welders ATM, is there much benefit in having a digital meter?

unless you have eyes in the back of your head id say no.
i have it on mine but as soon as you let go of the trigger the display fecks off too.

Can't see the need. I've got a 400A Oxford Mig. about 3 yr old. blxxdy good welder.

Im in a dilemma regarding a mig welder. Ive ordered parts for my on thats broken down 3 weeks until something arrives at the earliest. I need one to get me going as the man in the shed can only do so much tidying up. Was looking at a new 300amp Oxford copper wound old school transformer type or do i go inverter? looking at welding supplies they have thermal arc 3 process machine (sh!t duty cycle at 300amp) i like the look of it, wouldnt mind trying it out for a while. Any welder has to be single phase. I dont need that size of machine but its good to be able to weld heavier stuff if the need arises. It will be used daily as well not a now and again machine mostly box section 3-8mm average.

I have 2 mig welders out on hire to other people atm all three phase though. No one round that does the hire thing.
