There's an awful lot of chatter about it on twitter from the 'trendsetters' of UK ag.
The trouble is they tend to use words like 'progressive' and 'forward thinking' a lot and are clearly very smug about themselves and all that attend, which is offputting.
Progressing towards what I always think?
I think I might have got confused between the Oxford Farming Conference on Twitter, and the Oxford Real Farming Conference in the link above?I don't think they'd get many turn up if they just said there wasn't much worth coming for and it was going to be people telling you stuff you already know.
But then again it seems some farmers do prefer just to be told that whatever they are doing now is right and they needn't ever change...

Many thanks
The Oxford Real Farming Conference was £60.00 entrance fee for the two days , I was informed the other one had an elitist entrance fee of £400.00 ! , I stand to be corrected ?
Bit of a misnomer, ir . 'Real' belongs to those who are actually doing the job day to day not clever clogs 'hot airing' at a special conference about the latest trend.............
Both ....I think you`ll find the ones at the Real event were the farm workers and small farm owners with a few exceptions where as the other lot were the big farmers who dont actually do any farm work.
