Has anyone else heard that Oxfordshire county council have voted to ban meat and dairy off there menu at meetings ?
They claim that both meat and dairy are a significant contributor to green house gas emissions and rainforest distribution.
Can someone tell me where there’s a rainforest in this country?
This needs addressing as its total nonsense and manipulation of any truth .

"A MOTION to ban all meat and dairy from council catered events has been passed.
Green Party councillor Ian Middleton, put forward a motion to make sure all Oxfordshire County Council meetings are "entirely plant-based", and it was passed on Tuesday's full council meeting."

HOWEVER...

"It will now be considered by the council cabinet before implementation."

It's also worth reading the comments on the news page, the majority of which seem to be very much against the idea.
