I recently had a very painful bout of tennis elbow type pain, in the muscles above and below my right elbow, probably a sort of RSI type issue from using levers in tractors and telehandlers all the time. A friend of mine recommended magnesium gel, and after about a week or two of rubbing it into the affected areas twice a day, the pain has gone entirely.

I've just had some of this. Is it meant to give a burning sensation??

Yes, apparently if your body is deficient in magnesium you will have that reaction, I did when I started too, though the reaction reduced over time as my body absorbed more and more.

Been having this problem for almost a year it started gradual my day job was fencing similar to you I got the pain from hammering and digger use, Im ambidextrous so I swapped hands and developed it in both arms! Kept on working through the pain and
just taking ibuprofen and naproxen to my regret! Got to the point I couldn’t lift a bloody kettle! My missus had to do the lambing its slowly getting better but Im still quite bad can lift things but when it comes to using drenching guns Or any repetitive motion It
flares up instantly, still off work since early December. On the list to see a specialist but god knows when I’ll get to see one.

Have a look into trigger points and reffered pain. There is zero knowledge in the medical world on muscle derived pain, I had two wrist operations that probably were not strictly needed (though there was plenty of wear and tear so not totally wasted)

I have noticed this to tried physio’s wich probably made it worse , Chiropracter helped release the trigger points early On, but me being stubborn and not resting or taking it seriously made it worse.

I found the chiro no help, the physio no help. For me its find the point first (harder than it sounds) and pressure on the point several times a day plus stretching, keeps me mobile. Don't underestimate the pain muscles can create
