Paint for Plastic?

In the process of giving our old Maxxum Pro a bit of a tidy up. Can anyone reccomend the best way to bring the colour back into the faded black plastic panels around the top of the cab/air filter intake. they've gone a bit grey looking and I was wondering if there is a special paint to use on the plastic panels, that won't peel off. Somebody did suggest "back to Black" but our local valeting company says that is only a temporary measure-I'm hoping someone can suggest someting a little more permanent!

What plastic is it? On hdpe you can use a hot air gun or blowlamp, just go round in small circles heating the plastic until it looks "wet". It removes the oxidisation.
Used a lot on Argo's and quad plastics.

As said yes a heat gun will do it if correct type of plastic if it isnt it can just go white or brown etc
As for paint any aerosol will do after you give it a a coat of plastic primer etc
If there is also some bumper type paint that expand with heat etc to stop cracking the plastic should be rubbery if this is the case i would guess

But really a plastic primer and colour you wont be far wrong

Aye they aint to bad are they:p:whistle:
Theyve had had 1 or 2 hits over the years (y):singing:

Graffiti on the train, absolutely brilliant, however find myself singing "there's a fitty on the train"......................................................if you tractor is fibre glass a quick keying in with a medium scotchbite and spray the top coat straight on as thinly as possible but ensuring good coverage has given me excellent results and a power washer proof surface that hasn't peeled to date (3years 4 months so far !)
