Probably only 1 or 2 cube at a time as its got to be done around livestock, so ready mix isnt an option. got a 3/4 cube pan mixer available. 20mm ballast on site. what quantity of cement for a good mix. areas being repaired will be subject to heavy traffic, silage and cow muck. is there any aditives I should be adding with this or is normal cement all that's required, also will be meshed. cheers

Ive been putting in 200kgs for a .75m mixer, but not really to the max line. I use 6 3' ditching buckets and it looks to me like a good mix.

I'm pretty sure the last stuff I did with a pan mixer was dumping a builders bag of sand and gravel in and 5 bags of cement.

A friend has concreting down to an art, mixes about 3 cube at a time on a concrete yard with two loaders, buys cement in bulk bags by the lorry load.

Weighs everything into the mix over his weighbridge....

Everything is poured concrete...
Walls, drier hopper, etc....

Wish I had a setup like that.

Customer we work for uses 3/4 cube pan mixer, he's got a haulage business and has re concreted his yard with it, he puts 8 bags of cement in and adds fibres, started 18 months ago, and still looks good.
Running lorrys on it after a week.

But what will it look like in 10 years, I reckon 28 days drying before lorries and forklifts is best.

Totally agree, but he doesn't have that luxury, and he'll be retired in 10 years.
I think they contacted blue circle for advise on how much cement was need for 3/4 of a cube.
