Parlour size for one-man set-up 140 cows

What time can it actually save.
Drums fill up when cleaning units. Open butterfly valves 10 seconds.
Change valves start hot add chemical wait for hot return 90 seconds
Change valves for cold rinse 10 seconds
That's a morning 2 minutes afternoon 10 seconds because it's a cold rinse. 720 minutes a year.
Plus you can leave parlour ready for next milking.

prehaps you have your system nailed down better than the one I milked with. It was a total faff and meant you ended up just stopping washing constantly to go mess with things. There is also a safety aspect to consider with chemicals. Lots to be said for staying well away from parlour chemicals where possible.

Ripped our cluster flush out as it was keeping bactos high
As for mastitis ,if you use your scc from milk recording and cull your infected cows cluster flush then becomes obsolete
Cluster flush is a mask for bad mastitis practices

Yes it reflects the environment the cows are housed in. If it didn't work for you that's down to maintenance.

So your cows are housed in an environment where there constantly picking up mastitis .
There was a lot of maintenance , nearly every day and the cost was going up all the time
I have greatly reduced the rate of infection, had a staph outbreak which is cow to cow infection. If you don't have mastitis ,cells or a bacto problem then of course cluster flush redundant. Earlier you mentioned culling high cell count cows i'd rather not have any.
