Hygiene of what. The teats dirty the sh!t is sucked off with the milk. All it's there for is to stop any bacteria from the previous cows milk getting on the next cows teat. It makes no difference to the cleanliness of the actual milk.greatly improved hygiene

Yes it reflects the environment the cows are housed in. If it didn't work for you that's down to maintenance.Ripped our cluster flush out as it was keeping bactos high
As for mastitis ,if you use your scc from milk recording and cull your infected cows cluster flush then becomes obsolete
Cluster flush is a mask for bad mastitis practices
So your cows are housed in an environment where there constantly picking up mastitis .Yes it reflects the environment the cows are housed in. If it didn't work for you that's down to maintenance.
I have greatly reduced the rate of infection, had a staph outbreak which is cow to cow infection. If you don't have mastitis ,cells or a bacto problem then of course cluster flush redundant. Earlier you mentioned culling high cell count cows i'd rather not have any.So your cows are housed in an environment where there constantly picking up mastitis .
There was a lot of maintenance , nearly every day and the cost was going up all the time
