Hi
We are a young couple who have been researching setting up a small campsite / venue. (not just glamping!) We have some capital, a very clear vision of how this could work, what would set it apart from competition and as a PR professional and technical producer feel our current skills would also help us. What we're struggling with is finding land / property. It seems to me that PP is a total nightmare and to get the right bit of land can take years... we're relatively flexible on location as long as its an hour or two from London.
One of the things I've been thinking about is going into a partnership with land owner or farmer that is keen to diversify but doesn't have the experience / inclination / time to do something independently.
How common is it for farm owners to go into business with individuals and how is this usually set up - ie is there a profit share / rent agreement?
I know there are a few threads on here similar to this and I've tried to read as much as possible but it would be great to get a little advice.
Nicole
