Parts prices....again!

I was told that keys (x3), ignition barrel all needed to be replaced and re programmed to work, only someone with JCB's software and access could do so

simple solution was just disable the immobiliser but that still required the dealers laptop and unlock codes

thats the story I was sold anyway - would be interested to hear if not accurate or if there was cheaper alternatives, we were in a hurry to use the machine and it wouldn't start until this was done so pressure was on

machine is 500hrs old BTW ! not under warranty however as its was s few years old when bought low hrs because it was a JCB mechanic training machine
Mate had that on jd tractor as well

Anyone fancy a guess at the cost of the hydraulic check valve on top of this ram would cost? It’s about the size of a large match box.

Wanted a seal kit but told they don’t list one.

You can actually get them lock barrels changed to a diff pattern... then your massey cab will have tech a unique lock unlike everyone Else's being all the same.... & it doesn't cost much either
I park my MF tractors up every night with the keys in and full of fuel as I know they are safe because they will break down before getting off the farm

Needed a bearing for my baler. Coulsn't read number on bearing, but a quick google found it. Dealer wanted £30, got one from www.bearingboys.co.uk for £2(ish) plus £4 delivery. Ordered Friday 2.30pm was here Saturday 10am. Couldn't believe how fast it arrived.
I needed some bearings to fix a gearbox on a mower, needed it going that day, local bearing place total cost was about £90. Dealer would have been double that. Went online could get same bearings for £45. Don't mind paying a bit more when in a hurry but if machine can sit a day or so online is the way to go.

Hydrostat potentiometer for a tx64 with New Holland £146. Same potentiometer direct from importer £23 but minimum order of 20. Dave King £30 non genuine and next day. There was a wait with New Holland as they only had 1 in Europe which makes sense as TX 60 series wern't very popular!
