i can access all prices on Kramp & get a disc price also normally 15% off the retail price
if anyone wants to know prices of anything listed on Kramps site i can look no trouble at all

I too have a Kramp account through my local dealer, its set with a standard discount of 15% but often I get more. The discount is set by the dealer so if I need something big its often worth a call.

Kramp are good with a ridiculous amount of things available on their site. They also do bespoke hydraulic rams and machined bushes to size if you want.

But they are often not competitive, filters are generally a no go for me, and on wearing parts you have to watch, sometimes better than others sometimes not.
The service is first class though, couriered straight to my door next day mostly for £4.95. I can't drive to dealer and pick up for that.

just had an account set up through our case dealer, bloody dangerous now with everything at your fingertips and as you say no need to leave the farm to get obscure bits anymore

I tried to set up a Kramp account through the NFU link somebody put on here, never heard a word back..
I tried several times with a similar result. If you ask a local dealer who is a Kramp dealer they can set you up, whether you get the discount is another matter. There has been a big push in lockdown by Kramp and their dealers to get customers signed up with accounts.

Recently had a hub seal go on our 25 year old jcb 526.
On closer inspection the brakes had broken up, caused the seal to go and also scored the large gear in the hub(I forget its proper title) in the process which would lead to further problems in the not too distant future according to our mechanic.
Price of new part from main dealer, a snip at £2609 .
Price of having it machined and polished at a local engineers, £250. 👍

i know... can a Main belt tensioner Pully part be sourced other than from a main Dealer for a SISU 6cyl engine on a massey? coz at £300 odd its took some pills to ingest that price.....
no idea who makes them ? SISU ??? Ind Mech is trying to source a bearing for pully on old part so i atleast have a spare working part.
A 6304 2rs bearing is what you need

The Gopart range of bearings are unbelievably cheap, personaly I would only use them on something reasonably simple, and easy to change if they did fail.

Yes for a belt tensioner with all the dust and heat about it you want decent bearings.

Manitou fan belt pulley bearing is a good example. It's a common as muck bearing available in loads of specs and prices. The cheap ones dont last as long as a belt🤦‍♂️

Our local bearing supplier is a bugger for cheap Chinese bearings. I often have the argument that if it's a rough bearing on the outside of a dung spreader fair enough, but if it's inside a gearbox that has taken a day to dismantle what's the point in saving £10 on a bearing?

A lot of delaerships are running there retail price above recommended retail. You need to price check a few and find the dealership that isnt. Youll save thousands in the long run.

Got to love Jcb's parts pricing !
Two brake pipes that go from the hub to the flexible brake pipes from the axle/chassis. Thankfully I've changed the system so don't need to replace these as often.
But two steel pipes about 4" long with a couple of bends, slightly different for each side and a pair of female jic ends on them. So virtually cost the same to make !
Obviously not to sell 🤬🤬🤬
