You are about 10 days behind us.
It all started that way here. Getting less secure now. For eg, I had a booked appointment this morning to take the baler for a repair at the dealer. Normally there is a dozen staff or more. This morning there were two and they weren’t opening at all this afternoon. They weren’t sure anymore if they could even get parts if any are needed. Child care for a lot of these places is becoming a big issue, if the mechanics wife is a nurse, the mechanic stays at home and looks after the kids.

"Brits will only be able to go to supermarkets, pharmacists, pet shops, hardware stores and newsagents in an unprecedented high street shutdown.

Banks and post offices will also stay open so the vital services they run can continue to be delivered."

Parts will be under Hardware... Or they have been here for the last half hour.

this is the situation I fear is gong to become reality here quickly, all this kit needs techs to back it up and parts to keep arriving at depots

i think they are going to have to get a list out of what is an essential retailer asap !
That’s going to be controversial isn’t it. For any retailer that doesn’t have an online ordering system, life will be horrid. Friend of mine has had a home hardware store for 20 years and tonight he admits that for the first time he may have to default on his creditors as cash flow has just stopped stone dead. He admits people has been hoarding even hardware products too as his last weeks sales were very good, but for at least 3 weeks now he’ll have zero sales! Frightening for some while the big “food sheds”’are booming! Not great. Hope farm shops can survive.
