Hi

Has anyone had much experience using the Patchwork Air + GPS system? We're looking for a system to help with spraying, seeding and fertilising
that can easily be moved between two tractors. Or can anyone recommend any other systems? We don't need anything too fancy like auto steer

I use mine a fair bit for sowing grass with a 6m harrow and I've seen me taking in a straight further across a field when drilling grain if there's a wet bit on a steep slope I can't get up but that's about it for drilling grain

Do you have trouble with your headland boundary moving?
Ive a blackbox air+ , the 1 boundary side will always move approx 3m which then causes the inner boundary line to move aswell which is annoying when your trying to work to a line to get the ins and outs rights

I don't use it for anything like that but yes the boundary will move a bit .

Cannot remember the figures but 3 metres sounds a bit high if you are using the EGNOS correction signal. Perhaps I just remember the figures wrong. In any case you should have a reference spot to remove any offset (in two dimensions) before starting to work with borders. Recalibrate if you work too long and drift starts to appear.

It could be much worse if you run the box with GPS and Glonass "only", that is without the EGNOS correction. Some Patchwork salespeople promoted GPS + Glonass over EGNOS in the past, unfortunately.

Ive had trouble with it since new. When i map a boundary (and ive done 100's) there will always be one side approx 3m out, can either be inside or outside, the other 3 sides will be fine. Ive never had a single field where its been right on all sides

I had mine running this morning to see what it was like and the boundary would be made maybe 5 years ago could be longer and it was off a bit but nothing like 3m

Have a blackbox advance with white receiver and always found the boundary line to be a pointless excercise, but we do have plenty of woods round the fields And always assumed it was that.

Really ? Whether I made a boundary 12m off when spraying or spreading or 1.5m off when mowing it's always been good for field sizes
Mine is the advance with raven receiver

Ive not been back to a field at a later date. I map the boundary then work (plant potatoes) and 1 side is always wrong. They've sent me new ones to try and they have all been the same. I tried a patchwork marine last year and that was perfect on all sides. I think its an accuracy issue. Ive got the little magnetic reviever on the roof matchbox size.

Is that the standard tablet they supplied with the system? If so mine gave up aswell so just bought a cheap 45 quid amazon fire tablet and downloaded the patchwork app onto that. Cheap enough fix
