I pay a 3rd party to upload my PAYE to HMRC, at present we cant get it to upload and they keep getting knocked out. Sometimes it has said it has uploaded only to show that it hasn't. I am thinking its a Government Gateway problem linked to when I changed my BCMS code but it wont upload causing a lot frustration. Does anyone have a number for them as its just a nightmare.... and above my pay grade!

Why do you pay a third party to upload it? I do it using my bank's mobile phone app just like paying any other bill. Pay 'HMRC Cumbernauld'. Takes but a few seconds and the only alterations from one month to the next is the amount and the last digit or two of the reference number.
It has nothing whatsoever to do with the Government Gateway. You are just paying a bill.

I think he's referring to the software to upload the employee payment details to HMRC. I use the free Basic PAYE tool that HMRC provide, but that can only handle up to 10 employees.
Some people however don't realise that this is available and pay 3rd parties to handle PAYE for one or two employees.

I do the same but it is a bit clunky at times but worth sticking with as you would expect it to be correct.

Unfortunately during the last year 2 qurters calculations have been out by less than a pound each for the total I owe for my 2 chaps, this is annoying and means that you have to check on your gateway page as well to find out if the totals are different.

The Sheriff of Nottingham is particularly keen on people paying the exact amount or else there is a fine.
