Paying tax

Pay using Curve card, which looks like a debit mastercard so no charge to use it, but automatically charged on to a points earning credit card to get me free holidays. Curve has a £50k/ year limit right now, which covers me for shops that won't take credit, VAT, PAYE, Corp tax etc. Never want to spend any money unless I have a chance of a kickback of some sort - Amex if they take it, then MasterCard if they don't, and curve if they only take debit. Usually manage one long haul flight in business or first class and one or two weeks of hotels a year for no or minimal costs.

https://www.curve.app/en-gb/ but PM me if you want an intro code to get a starter bonus.

Since the Gov stopped companies charging for the use of Credit cards HMRC no long accepts them .Debit cards only .
I pay my tax online its the hardest click of the year !!!!!!!!

I looked into a Curve card a few years back , I actually got one but as soon as i did they took away the link up with AMEX I canceled it I only wanted it to boost free flights air miles etc .

Still worth it though - I put mine to a legacy Hilton card, but have done to others before. If not, a 1% cashback on something. Like Amazon would be grand on a ££ tax bill, surely?

Free flights aren’t free though - still tax and fuel charges etc to pay. Best use is getting First class for economy £ and some extra Avios.

I use the companion ticket which is free then use air miles to up grade to business class for both flights it’s a bit complex but works for me about £150 for two business class tickets to Dallas with return from Las Vegas book hotels and receive further discounts with BA Amex card and more air miles.
Use John Lewis card (MasterCard) for places that don’t take AMEX Mrs Rowland get vouchers to spend in John Lewis .

Pay mine by cheque.
Accountant tells me how much and I write it and hand it to him. That's what I'm paying him for.
Looking at my bank statement I saw one year it hadn't been paid. I rang him to check and he told me he only presents them at the end of the period. 'No point in doing it earlier, they'll only waste it.' were his exact words!
