Wrong amount mind, obviously, but near enough to be ok. See if the rest arrives with the balancing 25%.......and Lord knows when that will be.

It is horrific that people are still waiting on 2017 money. It seems that direct and constant contact is the way to go. I tracked down a direct number for my local office and spoke to them direct many times (ringing the generic numbers just gets you cut off).

It gets worse

Just had my paperwork back from an inspection in December 2017 to say I over declared on my ditch (WT3) length by 73m........ baring in mind our farm is on Romney Marsh and surrounded by ditches..........and over declared by the fast sum of 5m , thus 40p, on our hedges !!

Both figures were initially put into our CSS scheme by Natural England, so I am getting a penalty for their error !!

Even more galling, is that I have had an invoice for both penalties, that I must pay immediately and if I don't I will have interest added to them........................ and I haven't even been paid yet !! :banghead::banghead:

Anybody thinking about joining these schemes, just be aware the administration time and hassle that goes with them.

Same happened here.

2017 inspection. A lot of time taken up talking to the inspector.

Over a year until I get the report.

Fined a couple thousand- completely incorrectly.

Money taken away from the 2017 I currently haven’t received.

Obviously not received a penny from 2018.

An absolute farce. It makes me wish I hadn’t entered it and simply farmed the whole area.

I appealed against my misdemeanors and was helped by the Kent Natural England who put my original package together, including all the measurements.

The RPA accepted my appeal and have withdrawn their claim.

Just got to get my payment now........... but I doubt I will receive any interest on the money, even though I was threatened with interest when the RPA thought I had over claimed.

Good on ya there
You wont get any interest, unless you can take them to court n prove your case...
dunno if anyone has ever tried this
Possibly never.
Such a shambles of an organization yet we are pretty much powerless to challenge them or make any single one accountable for there mistakes...
Any other business someone would be fired for how they go on...

Just had and email regarding our cropping rotation and Iv spoken on the phone, the kind lady asked if certain crops where in certain feilds if they where coming to do an inspection today, my reply was that as they are so late processing our claim some feilds and now entering their third crop since the paperwork was filed, I asked about payment time and she said they have just started looking at our claim but hope to get 75% by end of March.

Its getting a bit like "Bullseye" with NE saying this is what you will get each year if you join and stick to the rules then the RPA saying "this is what you could have had" in a Jim Bowen type rub it in your face style. It would be laughable if it wasn't causing so much hardship. Does anyone else think Gove has a bit of a resemblance to Jim

I started a mid tier CS 1st Jan 2018, I'm thousands out of pocket with it so far - could I really be waiting till 2020 for a first payment?
Get hold of a direct number for your local office and ring them regularly explaining you're out of pocket after bring misled and need the payment. They may tell you to contact The Farm Community Network to submit a hardship claim, if you genuinely need the payment pronto, do it, it'll take a few mins. Good luck!

Still waiting on 25% of 2017 here, then 100% of 2018 due!
We're in 2019 now :banghead:.

What are Natural England going to do to encourage me to sign up in 2020 when my hls runs out?.:scratchhead:.
