If its connected to the phone network you will have tracking as standard.
Just a matter of getting the correct app on your phone to read location.
And you would never think of a tracker in the filler cap.

It appears to be connecting via Blutooth to the app in the phone of the driver and uploading to the cloud from there rather than using a SIM of it's own, unless there are more versions planned.

Just downloaded the app into my phone. Just for the sake of it! Like most apps,it'll maybe never be looked at again........unless I get around to purchasing a Smart Cap.....and even if I do,it'll likely be forgotten about and the engine oil changes will still be scored into the filters!

It might work like the milwaukee app. So long as someone anyone with the app comes close enough to machine it will relay/upload the tracking signal back to the owners app.

If machine is nicked it could be in a curtain sider on motorway with someone overtaking it with the app and it location reported? Maybe!
