Personal holiday home on agricultural land Anglesey.

Hi,
I have had a caravan on a site for many years at Moelfre . I have always wanted to buy a small plot of land around the same area around 100 square foot with services available nearby .
A plot of land has come available via a future auction around £8000 an acre With road access .
I would want to put a lodge type holiday home (wheels type) around 40ft x 20ft for use only as a holiday home for personal use only. I assume I would need PP , but would there otherwise be any issues as regards the land being described as agricultural land?
Chris Turner.

Surprised it’s as cheap as £8k around there for a potential home/caravan thing.
I would check covenants very carefully and speak to the planners before laying down a penny.

Also note that there is a bit of a kickback against 2nd homes so you may be forced to pay a much higher council tax

Thanks for the reply. Yep never thought about that , I will check the covenants . Not as straight foword as I thought. That’s why I thought I would ask the people like yourself in the field of agriculture and planning etc.

thanks

Be aware that Future Auctions are complete shysters, so make sure you’re happy with all the legal and trust them on nothing. They sold a “plot” near me that has no legal rights of access to it but declined to mention that in the information pack.

Gosh, thanks. lots of homework on this one. Might be best carrying on paying £2800 per year for my for my existing van at Llygwy.
