Hi, I'm writing to you all to seek permission to hunt on your property. This would be a once a year thing. My game if I had your permission would be rabbits anything else I could help you with.

I have a solid understanding of the hunting regulations and I can assure you I will take all necessary precautions whilst hunting on your property.

I will work around dates that would suit you best. I have countryside insurance I will bring a copy of this with me to put your mind at ease abit. You would be more welcome to accompany us on our hunts.

I hunt with dogs and ferrets. Abit about myself I am 29 years of age. I am of working class.

I respect your decision which ever it may be. I'm up and comming hunter if you could help me out in anyway feel free to pass my details on I'm trying go about everything the right way.

I look forward to hearing back from any of you.

Cheers

Sorry. I am located down in South wales. I'm willing to travel all over the UK. Its not easy getting permission I understand its your lively hood. So to get any permission it would such a great help I would treat it with the upmost respect. Its taken me along time to just get a tiny bit of land. Cheers

You should have liability insurance through BASC as a minimum. I would get a character reference from someone who has known you personally for 5 years as well if it was me. Just a paragraph of writing on paper to show people to gain some confidence.

I sincerely hope you gain some permission to go on someone's land, but when you do, just be mindful never to leave anything but footprints behind. No spent cartridges, no litter, do not leave dead game lying around. Also keep an OS map or the area, a farm map from the landowner showing where you can and cannot go and a letter of consent from the land owner in case you are challenged by someone.

I used to have a ferreting man do a bit for clients of mine, he was excellent.

Cheers thankyou for the advice. Yes it's all about having respect. I take all my game home depending on numbers I have a local butcher who takes them off me. Its about gaining a relationship and a trust itis tough for myself. I'm trying to go about this by the book I do appreciate all your advice and will certainly be looking into the things you mentioned.
