Pet lamb with scour

Have a week old pet with scour and cold mouth, possibly been overfed. Under heat lamp and has been given antibiotics.
Belongs to my 3yo son so any advice much appreciated!

Be very careful your son doesn't catch whatever the lamb has.

Long shot, but try some rehydration fluid

If mine, I'd gently tube with 25ml of warm water with a teaspoon of olive oil in it to help ease any bloat first. It could be touch and go if he hasn't had enough colostrum, but he could turn round if it's overfed. Hope it's the latter.

Sorry to hear that, hope your son is ok but that's the realities of farming unfortunately.

When my daughter was about that age I "hid" a dead Beltex tup to spare her the upset but she found it and was fine - in fact I could hardly get her away from looking at it, not sure if she thought I was joking.

He's OK thanks, the lamb was at my Dad's farm so he hasn't caught on anythings happened yet.
