Peter Waite will begin his new role as Crop Protection Commercial Sales Manager on 1 January as part of a number of changes taking place at Corteva Agriscience in 2021.

Peter is well known across the farming industry and will hold financial and reporting responsibilities while overseeing the companys key account managers in the UK and Ireland. His role will include devising and implementing strategy to ensure Cortevas customers and farmers have continued access to the latest innovations in chemistry.

Peters role follows the promotion of William Corrigan to UK & Ireland Country Leader succeeding the retiring Adrian Gough and the appointment of Caroline McCartney to Field Sales Manager.

Bringing more than 30 years of knowledge and expertise of the UK agriculture market, Peter has spent the past six years at Corteva and its heritage company, Dow AgroSciences, as both National Account Manager and Area Manager, managing some of the companys largest accounts.

Prior to joining the company, he worked for more than 10 years at one of the top buying groups in the country and spent many years as a farm manager having graduated from agricultural college.

Peter said: I am looking forward to stepping into my new role in the new year at an exciting time for Cortevas current and future pipeline of products for UK and Irish farmers.

I want to help the company deliver its innovative crop protection solutions to our customers and ensure they have access to our unrivalled pipeline of products.

This is a crucial time for farmers as they seek clarity on their future role as food producers and custodians of the countryside and they will be looking to companies such as Corteva to help them build further resilience into their businesses.

I am keen to explore ways of investing in the future to support farmers preparing for the many changes ahead as new domestic agricultural policy comes into effect.
