Far from it, they just don’t hit many and couldn’t give a toss.

Set up your own feeders, put some bales/shelter out and have a couple of afternoons out with your mates!

That said, with so many corvids and pigeons about it does make you question the value of ever pointing a gun at anything else.

Is it possible then that shot game will actually be worth something this season? If everyone is hungry enough might even get money for pigeons again!

As far as I'm concerned, if you are running a shoot, you are obliged to provide feed or do things that feed all year round. That's you, committed. If not, you aren't doing the job properly.

And if you're a big commercial shoot that so much as dumps a single pheasant ever you're an arsh bringing the sport into disrepute. If you're a gun on one of them you're a double arsh as well.

Used to love being on the farm and seeing pheasants and partridge all year round flourishing.

Be alright for Christmas/January days. Let’s just try and digest the fact that game shooting is under the cosh this year but commercial shooting while needing some form of limiting of excess does result in employment and pleasure for a great many good country folk.
This auction will be interesting but dangerous step. Gamebirds today, fertiliser tomorrow?

Buy some blue drums quick and make some feeders. Fill em up with wheat... wink wink.

Some of them sold for £11 per day old chick in that auction in the end. Hatched in July which will mean they will be late going out into the field so losses I imagine would be greater.
Absolutely ridiculous.
