Phone insurance?

Son has purchased an I phone, normally being miserable b'stards we buy cheap androids.

Anyway the question is what insurance cover do people use on their phones. NFU policy covers it but excess is quite high, is Apple care a better option?

Two schools of thought on this. If you’re nervous or cautious find a good quote or if you’re like me don’t bother with insurance. There’s an augument that says with the money you save over the years you can afford an occasional loss. They’re out of date after a few years anyway and not worth a lot. I carry mine in my pocket round the farm all the time for the last five years no problem. If you’ve got the find my phone app on iPad that can be very useful though.

If you use a bank account with fees it is often in as a benefit , we pay £10 a month with our joint account and get phone insurance for 2 claims a year and travel insurance including winter sports and car breakdown cover.

Bank Insurance... You have to register the handset. And I think in a leaflet I had from Sky for their Sky Protect they offered cover on other things you had aswell.
