are there different catagories of puh??, the one on our 398 will not fit the eye of a hi-spec tanker, rotating type eye on the tanker and is too thick to drop into the gap of the hitch. whats on the tractor appears to be pretty much the same size of puh that is on our 148

anybody know if i can get a larger size/type of hitch for this tractor, or were i might get one?

thanks

Standard puh on our 398. When we updated trailers to 12 tonners they had heavy duty rings which would not fit in hook. Kit had got to big for it so changed it for 3120. (11 years ago)
Sticky out hitch on our 390T manages fine.

yep ours is the standard puh also, not the delux. thought there might have been a different version of the hook available to fit these hitches for the heavier duty rings.

We only recently upgraded to the 398 from a 148 so dont think a change of tractor is going to be an option!!

Had the same years ago when we ran fergies, your best option (as posted)is a different ring on the tanker.

cheers for the info, looks like its a no go then, tanker would be hired/borrowed so no option of changing that end, choice of two but they both have the heavy duty rings.
was just looking at options that might have allowed us to spread smaller amounts inbetween contactor coming in once/twice a year.
