Argh! A Hilux!
I have seen that posted for a while and wondered the same thing myselfWould that trailer be legal to use in the UK, provided statutory weight limits were not broken?
Price... .they are extremely expensive. That’s what I was woundering he’s obviously had air brakes fitted and the truck replated but how come it’s not more popular if it’s relatively easy to do?
I've seen that locally. It does look a smart setup.
That depends upon your tow vehicles load capacity . In the case of my defender 130 I estimated an increase in trailer payload of 1 ton after allowing for the extra metalwork in the trailer drawbarI've seen that locally. It does look a smart setup.
I think it's been discussed on here numerous times and concluded the actual extra weight you can carry was fairly minimal?
There is no justification for that price. There isn't that much to it?This level of expensive .......View attachment 704894
As does any conventional trailer when giving a train weight over 3500kg....Unless you are running under an exemption. You're in tachograph territory, too - it's over 3500KG gross train weight, being used for work.
My thoughts exactly !There is no justification for that price. There isn't that much to it?
If it's for work, you need a tacho. The exemptions are listed on the direct.gov site - tools for work, personal hobby stuff etc are OK.Do is any conventional trailer with a train weight over 3500kg....Unless you are running under an exemption.

I'm a trailer / HGV nerd, now - it's all been drilled in to me very recently! The last was an O-license seminar last week
