I think cars have moved on a bit

Pickup chassis is beefier than a 1970's Ford Cortina anyway

Or a 1970's Lancia Beta, it finished Lancia in the UK.

I remember my grandparents buying a bmw that had been done with the stuff, I don’t recall any issues, but perhaps they didn’t keep it long enough to find out. Car was new, so wonder if the treatment was officially sanctioned by bmw?

They did a lot of hole drilling so doubt any maker approved it.

With the Toyota, you can buy the plugs for some of the chassis holes. seal the rest up with plastic/metal plates. Black wax dries out too quick but if you mix it 50/50 with old 90 gear oil it stays tacky for years..
