Pickup load liner

my new to me Ford ranger has what I assume to be a factory fitted load liner.
There seem to be nothing holding the front panel secure.
Anyone elses like this or should there be some sort of fastener on it??

That's just how they are. There's also gaps around the leg of the ladder rack, bottom right of the top picture [and the other side] that potentially lets water behind it. Just a couple of weeks ago I was mooching around waiting for the moo-cows and I had a tug just where you tugged to see if it was wet behind there. It wasn't, but I did think I would use some tech screws through the steel band, seen just below your finger, to attach the thing to the front of the bed, and tucking it well under the shelter available above it. Then I forgot all about it until just now.

With a bit of luck I will have re-forgotten about it by the morning. 🤣
