Ok don’t want this to turn into a which one is best

Went yesterday to get a price for contact hire Nissan navara tenka in white £19500 to purchase outright no tow bar or liner but sounds like a good deal to me.

To buy it would cost you £21,840 over 3 years and it would still be worth at least 50% of its purchase price assuming average mileage and condition so around £10,000 residual value. Your monthly’s would be £328 when the residual is removed.

The lease deal over the same period would be £12,180 including the down payments and real monthly’s are £338.

Can you guarantee the residual value if you wanted to sell it at three years old?

Should add to contract hire on a 3 year 6 payments down 12000 miles with a tow bar is £290 from a online company
6 plus how many payments?
6 plus 32 costs £11080. It probably isn't exactly that many months but will be within a Grand either side I expect.

Its got to be worth more than £8k after three years and only 36,000 miles, surely? I'm always on the pessimistic side with pickup valuations but depending on the interest rate on straight HP, I reckon you would be quids in buying it, which would also give the flexibility of keeping it for longer with no further outlay should the need arise.

6 plus 35 payments. Yes it looks very attractively priced seriously looking at buying instead of contact hire. Surely worth 10 plus after 3 years but who knows. Looks cheap compared to the ford 2.2 limited 200ps to buy it would cost £32000

I forgot to say that I was advised not to buy ford Ranger pickup and Toyota Hilux is better vehicle and this is what SHB are selling but if you don't see what you want in advert you should contact company as vehicles are arriving weekly

I would be very careful buying from shb hire, I bought a 63 plate hilux from the Gloucester depot, when I got it home and took the load liner out to fit the canopy I had bought, it had been badly repaired, the side of the pickup had a dent, 15mm out of straight.
It had straightened on the outside with filler, had holes drilled everywhere.
Told them I wanted my money back, they offered to swap it, took it back to Exeter to pick up the other one to find that had been badly repaired as well and the tailgate didn't line up.
Told them to stick it.
Luckily they drove me home!
Absolute joke!

You will be able to sell a Nissan pickup for a lot more than 8K at 3 years old if it's been looked after and is tidy. Don't skimp on the spec though, leather, sat nav, all the toys, that kind of truck sells very readily at auction.

19K is not a bad deal at all, esp when you consider you can claim the VAT back.

I don't know if the limited slip diff in the rear is advisable or not, I should think it is.

Nissan seem to be having to discount new navara very heavily to shift them.
Residuals on them won't be that great. Ranger and new Hilux seem to be far more popular but a tekna one surely still be worth at least £8k at 3 years old.

SHB seem to be used by utilities contractors a lot. Tons of them round here on windfarm and substation jobs. Not saying they are bad used but I imagine many drivers on them. That and their all white with beacons on!
