I put my pictures from the old iPhone I had, onto the computer I use for my tech drawing (it's not connected to the web) Does anyone know how to get them back on to another iphone so I can post them on here?
I think the pictures were only on the phone... Not sure if they ever went to iCloudHate crApple and all their complexities, but ...
If you were logged in to your apple account on the original phone, don't you just log in on your new phone for everything to synch again??
Yea.. Wouldn't ever go an buy a new one. Cheapy second hand ones here. Good camera and internet are the only reasons I've got one.You have to use Itunes to transfer them. You can copy and paste or drag and drop from phone to PC but not the other way around... It's Apple protecting their ecosystem. One of the prime reasons I refuse to buy or use their software or hardware. Meanwhile with android you can move stuff back and forth to your hearts content just using windows.
That bugs me too, of course the advantage of the Apple protected ecosystem is that it is almost immune from malicious damage... windows on the other hand we just spent 2 days rebuilding a windows virtual server after it got attackedYou have to use Itunes to transfer them. That was our thinking too... but we discovered it had been compromised with multiple trogans, remote access tools and ransomeware... not what we expected from a bare bones machine with no incoming emails or web browsing, these where almost certainly infections introduced though open ports.I thought servers were designed to be hardened against this? Their operating systems are more bare bones no?

Yes and it works an absolute treat. Everything is totally synced. Login to iCloud across devices and photos, all documents, notes, email accounts, basically everything is seamleslly sync’d across devices.Hate crApple and all their complexities, but ...

Probably because the computer in the OP (doesn’t identify what it is) isn’t connected to the internet (possibly any network for that matter) so pretty hard to sync in this case.Hmmm - then why has the initial question been asked??
Post #3 he says they were never synced to iCloud.Hmmm - then why has the initial question been asked??

Windows is an absolute abortion of a thing in comparison and Android....well its aright if you must
It’s a good thing we’re all differentThere is categorically no way on Earth I will ever sync the contents of so much as my pencil case with Apple, much less my phone or PC.
Windows is absolutely no trouble for me to run and it manages itself. If I was that loathe to use it I would simply run a Linux Distro, which has come on in leaps and bounds and is so flexible you can run it from a flashdrive these days if you want.
Apple hardware is certainly not that great and their software is just a pain in the arris.
