Are dollys legal for towing loads as I thought they class the dolly as the first trailer and the main trailer as the second and in UK the second trailer cannot be loaded?

I thought to use a dolly it had to be welded closed so it's an integral part of the trailer i.e. One trailer.
As far as I am aware the dolly has to be permanently fixed to the trailer. Not sure how that is done other than bolting the release handle. Still needs to be removable for maintenance (lubrication!)

Those new Audis- they don't have indicators. Instead, if you pull out in front of them at roundabouts, I find they automatically come to a stop. Works wonders.

Ahh, is that how they work, I'll give it a whirl next time I'm out and about(y)

The SUV's on the local school run have an "instant stop" mode too, whenever something larger than a pushbike approaches the vehicle...

think theres been a lot of older cars retrofitted with that technology too. I witness quite a few cars up here slowing hard when they meet something coming toward them. It seems to affect the cars ability to get in to the side of the road, and it has completely disabled reverse too. Possibly just not set up correctly.

A couple of points, joking aside, why is it always a Fendt ? Fastracs are designed for fast road work, Fendts ain't. Can't say I've seen a JCB having a corner mishap on FB. Should Fendts ( and all other tractors ) be limited to 40k ?

4 bales high ? Too bloody high IMO. Surprised these outfits make it across tramlines, and out through gateways, let alone 50 MPH around corners.

Blimey, I wish they did that round here.
You either get the Audi/BMWs who push on relentlessly flat out because they think they can intimidate anyone out of the way, or the Mercs with the yummy mummys who push on relentlessly flat out because they're just plain oblivious to anything outside of their car!
And it's always your fault that they've scratched their paintwork squeezing a 7' car through a 6' gap without lifting off the throttle.

The make of tractor had absolutely nothing to do with that trailer going over, it was a combination of speed round a corner and clipping the kerb.

As for 4 bales being too high, depends on the size of bale doesn’t it, those bales were no higher than on a lorry, it should be perfectly possible to transport them safely,. The big hestons would be too high at 4 high or should the not 4 high rule apply to all bale sizes........including conventional?

Forget about tractor brands, how many bales high, number of axles on a dolly:
the driver was was being a nob. Any of us would have got it round that roundabout with no drama, and I'm sure on a day when he's not being a nob, he would have done too.
Hopefully he's disposed of those soiled underpants he was wearing, learnt a lesson, and won't be a nob again. At least, not on the road with a load.

Looking on FB, as I do, there seem to be a disproportionate number of Fendts coming to grief on roundabouts. Either there's a design fault with these tractors, or they're dick head magnates.
Too much more of this, and agricultural vehicles will be banned from public highways. No skin of my nose.
